Weapons
At 36 damage per shot at 180 RPM with a 12-round magazine, the Stryder M1T delivers high single-shot impact that rewards precision — exactly what a flanking assassin needs to burst down isolated targets from mid-range. Its damage-per-shot profile means you can eliminate a high-value target in a small number of precision hits before your Active Camo disruption window of 1.5s becomes a problem. The deliberate fire rate enforces trigger discipline and pairs naturally with the Assassin's window-of-opportunity playstyle.
The Bully SMG at 15 damage and 540 RPM with Heavy Rounds fills the gap when a target survives the Stryder opener and closes to CQB range. Its sustained DPS at close quarters covers the scenario where you need to finish a fight fast after your smoke concealment is broken, and its heavier caliber hits harder per bullet than Light Round alternatives, preserving the high-damage identity of the build.
Shell Cores
Rated S-tier in our meta assessment, Shadow Strike massively increases the Utility Knife's damage when attacking from invisibility. This is the cornerstone core for this build: Active Camo into melee backstab becomes a genuine kill-confirm against most targets, and it transforms the Knife from a finisher into a primary opener on isolated high-value Runners. Every stealth flank becomes a potential instant elimination.
Rated A-tier in our assessment, Safe Landings upgrades Shadow Dive in two ways: the slam knocks nearby hostiles back on landing, and it creates a longer-lasting smoke field. For a solo flanker, this means Shadow Dive can be used aggressively as a combat opener — drop in, knock the target off their footing, immediately gain smoke concealment, then finish with a Shadow Strike backstab or Stryder burst. The no-fall-damage trait of Shadow Dive already makes aggressive aerial approaches safe; Safe Landings makes them lethal.
Active Camo and Shadow Dive recharge more quickly while in smoke — and this build generates smoke constantly via Smoke Screen, Shadow Dive itself, and Ghost Protocol. Guerrilla creates a self-sustaining loop: use Shadow Dive to create smoke, recharge Shadow Dive faster because you are in smoke, repeat. For solo play where ability uptime is your primary survival mechanism, this is a critical efficiency multiplier.
Any smoke field you create lasts longer before dissipating. The Assassin's native Smoke Field from Shadow Dive lasts only 4 seconds — Ghost Protocol meaningfully extends that window, giving the Cloudborn chip more time to be active, giving Guerrilla more time to refund ability charges, and giving you more time to reposition or line up a Shadow Strike backstab inside concealment.
Implants
Firewall: -5, Tactical Recovery: 40%
A 40% bonus to Tactical Recovery directly accelerates Active Camo recharge, which is the engine of this entire playstyle. Solo Assassin lives and dies by ability uptime — faster Active Camo means more frequent invisibility windows, more flanks, more backstab opportunities. The -5 Firewall trade is negligible given the Assassin's avoidance-based survivability model. The Walk it Off passive (cleanse a negative status on hostile defeat) adds meaningful resilience during engagements.
Melee Damage: 20, Agility: 20, Fall Resistance: 50%
Melee Damage stacks directly onto Shadow Strike's backstab multiplier, meaning every knife kill from invisibility hits even harder. Agility +20 improves movement speed, directly enabling the flanking approach this build is built around. Fall Resistance +50% synergizes with the aerial Shadow Dive approach vector. The Frenzy Matrix passive — defeating a hostile increases tactical recharge rate and sprint speed briefly — creates a kill-chain accelerant that rewards the aggressive Assassin playstyle.
Hardware: -10, Melee Damage: 50, Fall Resistance: 20%
Melee Damage +50 is the single largest melee damage bonus available in the implant system and directly multiplies the Shadow Strike backstab core — this is the implant that makes your knife kills from invisibility feel like an execution rather than a tickle. The Escape Artist passive (when shield breaks, hostile pings are immediately removed) is meaningful solo insurance: if you get caught with your shield stripped, your position is immediately de-pinged, preserving your ability to vanish. The -10 Hardware cost is offset by the Assassin's inherent evasion toolkit.
Agility: 10, Heat Capacity: 10
Agility +10 stacks onto the Graceful Landings V4 Agility bonus for improved movement throughout the flank. Heat Capacity +10 provides additional thermal headroom — relevant for a build that uses multiple abilities in sequence (Shadow Dive, Active Camo, Minus Sights if added later). The +1 Shield slot provides baseline protection without the Agility penalty of Protector variants.
