What Ankle Breaker Actually Does

Ankle Breaker is a Deluxe core for the Destroyer - Combat shell. Its effect: your Thruster generates less heat while a hostile is nearby. It costs 200 Credits and is unlocked through the Sekiguchi - Faction Upgrade, Destroyer+.

The Thruster is one of the Destroyer's traits, described as boosters that thrust you while airborne. Using it builds heat, and Ankle Breaker reduces that heat build-up when an enemy is close.

What We Don't Know Yet

The size of the heat reduction has not been published, and neither has how close a hostile has to be to count as "nearby". We won't give a number or a distance until we can measure them in-game or find them in a Bungie source.
