What Advanced Tracking Does
Advanced Tracking is a Superior core for the ReconIntel shell, costing 600 Credits. Its effect: the Tracker Drone marks targets it damages, revealing them to your crew.
That is the whole description. It adds a reveal to a Tracker Drone hit, so the Drone both damages a target and tells your squad where that target is.
What We Don't Know Yet
The mark's duration has not been published, and neither has whether it follows a target through walls or while they retreat. We won't state either until we can test them in-game or find them in a Bungie source.
Who It Suits
Related Recon Changes
In an April 14, 2026 update, Bungie said the Tracker Drone was getting "a bit more aggressive", selecting a new target if it cannot reach its current one. It also said Echo Pulse now distinguishes AI-controlled UESC robots from human runners. Bungie gave no figures for either change.
