THIN SOURCE NOTE
One video arrived this cycle, and it's a Destiny 3 discussion piece — not a Marathon build source. The 1.1.0.3 patch just dropped, however, and it carries a meaningful adjustment that touches TriageSupport squad play directly. This article builds from the patch notes and verified database, not from the video.
WHAT 1.1.0.3 CHANGES FOR TRIAGE
The most tactically significant change in Update 1.1.0.3 is a quiet one: Bungie fixed the MIDA final Capstone, which now correctly grants ANTI_VIRUS.EXE — two minutes of Anti-Virus protection at run start — instead of the Cardio Kick that previously stacked awkwardly against the Dexterity track perk. This matters for Triage squads because Anti-Virus protection at infil is consumable economy your Triage player no longer has to carry from the Armory. It's a free opening window; use it to rush contested loot before enemy Runners are ready to push.
Beyond that, the KKV-9SDSMG trigger fix on controllers cleans up one of the fastest-firing SMGs in the database — and the KKV-9SD slots cleanly into a Triage sidearm role. Community reaction to 1.1.0.3 is not yet available; the patch just landed.
THE WIN CONDITION
Triage's win condition in squad Ranked is deceptively simple: keep two squadmates alive longer than any other crew can keep theirs. The shell's Reboot+ Prime can revive two downed players at range, Med-Drone prevents bleed-outs under fire, and Shareware.exe multiplies every consumable you spend. You are not the carry — you are the reason the carry stays in the fight. In Ranked, that translates directly to Holotag pressure: your squad takes aggressive angles that other crews can't afford, because yours has a recovery net.
This build targets the Gold-to-Prestige Holotag tier, where squad coordination is the ceiling, not mechanical skill.
THE CORE BUILD
Primary weapon: KKV-9SD with the Hi-Speed Mag (Superior) — sources list the mag at -0.52s reload speed and +3 magazine size — keeping you cycling fast enough to peel pressure off a downed squadmate while you're working Reboot+. Secondary: **CE Tactical SidearmPistol** as the backup pistol, 20 damage at 300 RPM, reliable mid-range cleanup when the SMG mag runs dry.
Chip mod: Blue Blood (Superior) — downing a hostile Runner restores your health. Triage doesn't always have hands free to self-patch, so a passive heal-on-down keeps your hardware topped without spending a Patch Kit you might need for a squadmate.
Cores: No Good Deed (Superior) is the backbone — you receive a burst of healing when Med-Drone attaches to a crew member, meaning every drone deploy benefits you and your teammate simultaneously. Layer Samaritan (Prestige, Meta: B) over it: sharing a consumable via Shareware.exe reduces the cooldown of your next Med-Drone. The loop is tighter than it looks on paper. With the MIDA Capstone now correctly granting Anti-Virus at run start, your consumable budget opens up early — more Shareware.exe procs, faster Med-Drone cycling.
Implants: **Helping Hands V4TorsoSuperior (Superior Torso) — Hardware +20, Tactical Recovery +10%, Revive Speed +50%. Revive speed is the hidden bottleneck on Triage; most players pour everything into recovery speed and miss that the revive animation window is where you die. The Energy Harvesting V4HeadSuperior (Superior Head) covers Tactical Recovery at +40% with the Walk it Off trait, accelerating Med-Drone return. In the legs slot, Graceful Landings V2LegsEnhanced (Enhanced)** — Agility +10, Fall Resistance +20% — keeps you mobile enough to reposition for Reboot+ angles.
CRADLE ALLOCATION
Because respec is free at any time, you can commit to this path without penalty. The priority shape: push Recharge to the Primed breakpoint (sources list it at 10 Energy) so you start runs with partial Prime charge — Reboot+ available faster out of the gate matters enormously in early-rotation gunfights. Then push Support to the Factory Reset breakpoint (sources list it at 10 Energy) for health regeneration on every revive; on a shell that revives constantly, this is free sustain. Fill remaining Energy into Resistance toward Scab Factory (3 Energy, sources-listed) — when you get caught in the open positioning for a Reboot+, bleeding out more slowly is a genuine lifesaver. Map your exact path at the Cradle planner at /cradle before you infil.
THE PIECE MOST PLAYERS MISS
The bottleneck on this build is not healing output — it's positioning discipline. Triage players who follow their squad into every engagement get eliminated before Reboot+ matters. The correct play: hold slightly outside the primary fight, keep line-of-sight on two teammates, and only commit when a drone or defibrillator is the swing. Combat Medic (Deluxe Core) adds damage resistance inside Restoration Field for the moments you do push in. That damage resistance is the buffer that makes aggressive-support angles survivable rather than suicidal.
For Sponsored Kit access as you build faction reputation, the Triage picture is broader than one faction — check /factions for the current Armory options across factions rather than chasing a single unlock path.
