THIEF PICKPOCKET DRONE EXPLOIT PATCHED
Bungie has officially fixed the Pickpocket Drone cooldown exploit that was allowing Thief runners to spam their Scan ability in ranked matches. The exploit let players reset the drone's cooldown instantly, creating an unfair advantage in Holotag hunts. With the patch live, Thief players must now respect the proper cooldown timing when deploying their scout drone for Holotag interception.
CRYO ARCHIVE QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES
The PvE weekend mode received significant improvements. Unowned shell styles are now visible in the Customization menu, matching the Codex visibility system. This means you can preview locked cosmetics before grinding for them. Wall art rendering has been improved, and item fall-through bugs have been resolved, making loot collection more reliable during weekend runs.
ITEM ECONOMY ADJUSTMENTS
The update focuses heavily on item economy fixes, though specific details remain limited in the patch notes. These changes likely address loot drop rates and currency balance issues that have been community concerns since the Cryo Archive launch.
RANKED IMPLICATIONS
The Thief exploit fix is massive for ranked integrity. Before the patch, skilled Thief players could maintain constant intel on enemy Holotag carriers, making them nearly impossible to outplay in higher tiers. Now, proper cooldown management becomes a skill differentiator. Thief remains S-tier in solo ranked, but the mechanical ceiling is higher.
MATCHMAKING IMPROVEMENTS
Bungie also pushed live matchmaking updates for international regions, responding to community feedback about queue times outside North America. This should improve the ranked experience for global players seeking consistent matches across all Holotag tiers.
