Season 2 Launches Tomorrow: Your Pre-Reset Prep Checklist

Season 2 Nightfall hits June 2 with a complete progression wipe. Your Runner level resets to zero. Your ranked standing vanishes. Every faction drops back to rank one, and all those carefully earned stat bonuses disappear. Currencies except Lux and Silk get zeroed. Your entire inventory clears - weapons, mods, implants, consumables, everything in your vault gone. Mailbox empties. Priority contracts reset to the initial set. Even codex entries that granted rewards get wiped clean.

This is not a patch. This is a fresh start.

Not everything burns. Season 1 cosmetics and weapons you've earned stay locked to your account permanently. Partial progress on ongoing codex challenges carries forward - if you're 12/20 on a headshot challenge, you keep those 12. Faction unlocks tied to Liaison contract progress persist. Your initial priority contracts remain available. Most importantly, Lux and Silk - the premium currencies - transfer to Season 2 intact.

Rewards pass progress also survives the reset. If you've unlocked tiers on the Season 1 pass, those rewards remain yours.

Buy weapons and mods from faction vendors as backup unlocks. While your current gear disappears, having previously unlocked items makes them available for future re-purchase. Superior implants follow the same logic - spend materials on permanent additions to your unlock pool.

Skip consumables entirely. Medkits and shield charges vanish at reset regardless.

Complete any half-finished codex challenges that grant permanent rewards. Partial progress transfers, but if you're 18/20 on precision kills for a weapon unlock, finish it tonight. That weapon becomes part of your permanent collection.

Clear your vault of anything you want to use. Extract with your best gear and burn through expensive consumables - they're worthless at reset but powerful tonight. Run your most ambitious contracts while you still have Season 1 progression backing you.

If you're close to a faction milestone with meaningful unlocks, prioritize those materials over credits. Credits are infinite but rare materials like Alien Alloy or Synapse Cubes only drop from specific high-risk activities.

Hit the Runner Level milestone closest above your current level before reset - Level 10/25/50/75 CyberAcme kits are worth weeks of Season 2 grinding. Spend all currencies except Lux/Silk on permanent unlocks, especially faction weapons and mods that expand your Season 2 options. Finish any codex challenges sitting at 15+ progress for permanent weapon unlocks that survive the wipe.
