What is the best squad composition in Marathon?
A strong baseline is Triage + Recon + DPS shell (Destroyer or Vandal). Triage anchors with self-repair and revives, Recon scouts and pings enemies, the DPS handles fights. Squads can also run double-utility (Triage + Recon + Thief for extraction-focused play) or pure aggression (Destroyer + Vandal + Recon).
How do you coordinate in Marathon squads?
Voice comms are essential at high ranks. Establish clear callouts for enemy positions, loot calls, and exfil intent before the match. Assign roles - one player leads rotations, one handles loot priority, one watches flanks. Avoid stacking three of the same shell unless intentional.
Is squad play better than solo in Marathon?
For Ranked climbing, squad play is significantly more efficient - shared map intel, revives, and combined firepower beat solo plays in most scenarios. Solo queue suits players who prefer Vandal or Thief and excel at stealth/speed. Squad queue suits Triage, Recon, and Destroyer mains.
