THE UPDATE

Bulkhead published the Wardogs Season 2 patch notes on Steam on October 14, 2026. Season 2 goes live on October 15 after a maintenance window from 08:00 to 09:30 UTC, which Bulkhead estimates at roughly 90 minutes of downtime. The patch notes replace the October 9 preview as the full list of changes.

At a glance:

  • Season 2 goes live October 15 after a 08:00-09:30 UTC maintenance window
  • Four new weapons and four new vehicles, with prices and unlock levels
  • Base damage for four calibres cut by 16 to 25 percent
  • The Wager Vendor is not available at launch and opens later in Season 2

NEW WEAPONS

Four new weapons, with calibre, vendor price and unlock:

  • TCX-SPR, assault rifle, 7.62x39mm: $3,200, Assault track level 20 ($100k to unlock)
  • PP-19 Bizon, SMG, 9x19mm: $1,000, unlocked by default on the Medic track
  • Evo-3 Ultra, LMG, .308 Win: $7,250, Support track level 30 ($200k)
  • M14, marksman rifle, .308 Win: $7,400, Recon track level 25 ($100k)

New optics, muzzle devices, magazines and bipods arrive with them. The October 9 preview called the assault rifle the TCX Spear; the patch notes name it TCX-SPR.

Our Read
The PP-19 Bizon is a separate gun from the PP-19 Vityaz already in the game, and we track them separately.

MOLOTOV AND GEAR

The Molotov is a thrown incendiary that splashes fire on impact and burns anyone caught in it, with damage over time for anyone standing in the flames. It can be thrown overarm or underarm, burns destructible foliage and is weakened by rain. It costs $340 and unlocks on the Assault track at level 13 ($25k).

The Infrared Range Finder now runs on batteries. A battery lasts around 80 seconds of active use and drains faster if the device is toggled on and off quickly. Its price rises from $1,200 to $3,200. Bulkhead's October 2 hotfix had disabled it in the vendor until Season 2.

VEHICLES AND BUILDABLES

  • Wolf-110: a fast, light wheeled transport. $2,200, Driver track level 8 ($50k)
  • Wolf-110 [M2 Browning]: adds a ring-mounted M2 Browning. $7,800, Driver level 16 ($125k)
  • T-72B3: a main battle tank, slower than the L2A6 but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient. $16,000, Driver level 20 ($250k)
  • Flakpanzer Gepard: an anti-air vehicle. $14,000, Driver level 25 ($300k)

Three buildables are added: the MG Nest, a manned M2 Browning emplacement (650 build supplies, large hammer); the Large Shelter (250 supplies, medium hammer and above); and the Wooden Step (small hammer and above).

A new rain weather preset leaves surfaces, vehicles and characters wet and comes through destroyed roofs. Heavier rain brings thunder that every player on the server hears at the same moment, loud enough to mask footsteps. Rain also affects spotting range and reduces Molotov fire.

DAMAGE, ARMOR AND SUPPRESSION

Base damage drops for four calibres, for every infantry and vehicle weapon that fires them:

  • .308 Win: down 25 percent
  • 7.62x54mmR: down 20 percent
  • 7.62x39mm: down 19 percent
  • .50 Cal: down 16 percent

Bulkhead says these high-calibre rounds were doing close to sniper damage in assault rifles, DMRs and LMGs at a faster fire rate. Sniper rifles get increased hit-location damage, DMR headshots and upper-body hits are slightly weaker, and LMG body damage now matches assault rifles. Scout Rifle headshots now kill a target with no helmet in one shot, and a Level 1 helmet takes two. The FAL keeps the highest per-shot damage among assault rifles but now sits closer to the TCX-SPR and M4.

Level 3 armor and helmets now reduce damage by 50 percent, down from 55, and Level 4 drops from 65 to 60 percent. The Level 4 helmet now muffles audio and proximity chat, restricts the field of view and fogs over when sprinting. Level 3 helmets reduce suppression by 68 percent and Level 4 helmets by 80 percent.

Suppression is rebuilt around shared falloff curves per weapon. Near misses from small and medium calibres suppress considerably more, rate of fire is accounted for so SMGs and pistols do not over-suppress, and screen shake is reduced.

PRICES, BUILD COSTS AND REWARDS

Selected vendor price changes:

  • L2A6: $14,000 to $22,000
  • Havoc: $18,000 to $28,000
  • AMR 50: $8,800 to $14,800
  • Level 4 Helmet: $3,000 to $4,500
  • AK74: $1,600 to $800

Most muzzles, grips and foregrips are up to a third cheaper. Build costs rise for the L81 Mortar (150 to 600 supplies) and the Stingray (150 to 650). Drill Rigs now need 2,000 fuel to activate, up from 1,500, and their maximum uptime falls from 375 to 300 seconds.

Role tracks need less XP: level 20 drops from 250,000 to 111,500 total XP, and Bulkhead says reaching it takes less than half the Season 1 playtime. Kills with an assault archetype weapon now pay $2,000, up from $1,500. New delivery streaks reward logistics runs in a row, for example $100 and 50 XP per crate for up to 10 crates, while base logistics rewards are lower and spotting rewards are about 30 percent lower than in Season 1.

THE FACTION EXPERIMENT

Bulkhead says one team has had a notoriously lower win rate than the other two, acknowledges valid complaints about Lonestar's uniform visibility and certain spawn positions, and says sentiment around the blue team is the largest driving factor for players not wanting to play it. For Season 2 it is running a social experiment: Lonestar gets a cash and XP win bonus and teamplay cash and XP multipliers, for Season 2 only, with no values given. A new vendor discount gives any team 20 percent off when it is at least 40 points behind second place. Community server hosts seen exploiting the faction bonus will be punished. On Bakurani, all three team spawns were moved and rebuilt with purpose-built routes to the zone.

Once a team is more than 10 points ahead, players cannot switch teams again for 15 minutes after joining one. Team kills now trigger a Forgive or Punish vote for the victim.

THE WAGER VENDOR

The Wager Vendor is not available at Season 2 launch and opens later in Season 2. It lets players bet their own cash on their own performance, with a live tracker above the minimap. Bulkhead says it is not a permanent addition and is intended to come and go through a season.

THE PROGRESSION RESET

The patch notes do not mention a progression reset either way. In its October 9 "Road to Season 02" devlog, Bulkhead said the end of Season 1 brings the first full progression reset: at the end of each season, cash and progression reset and leftover savings auto-exchange to Gold Bars, which buy permanent cosmetics. It also said Early Access XP is banked for future long-term systems.

WHAT IS STILL UNKNOWN

The patch notes do not give damage, fire rate, recoil or ballistics values for the four new weapons, the size of Lonestar's bonuses, the wager odds and payouts, or the date the Wager Vendor opens. We will update this article if Bulkhead publishes them.

Our arsenal, tier list and loadout figures come from Season 1 testing and will not reflect Season 2 changes until they are re-tested.
