WHAT JUST LANDED
Bulkhead dropped Update 0.1.2 on September 30, and Bulkhead describes it as a minor update aimed at recent cash and XP exploits and security issues. The headline items: a fix for the Windows 11 WD-L020 crash error triggered by Windows update KB5124010, a sweep of cash and XP exploits that had been undermining progression since Early Access launch, and a new Deploy UX flow that asks you to pick Official, Community, Infantry Mode or Low-Level servers.
On the exploit side, the changes are concrete. Revive action validity is now fully server-authoritative, reducing the chance of revives being abused across the map. Rewards from the vehicle fly-through exploit are now capped. Rewards for destroying buildables now scale with how far that buildable was actually constructed. And depositing pallets into a FOB outside the zone now returns reduced rewards. These were not edge cases; they were active methods being used to accelerate progression.
Bulkhead was direct: anyone caught abusing these exploits, or worse, engaging in Real Money Trading, has already had cash and progression reset. The studio has now formally ended its leniency for first-time offenders. Going forward, permanent bans are on the table without warning for repeatable exploit abuse.
THE BUG THAT MATTERED MOST
One fix in the bug section stands out for competitive play: a bug was causing the Havoc to take increased damage from 20mm and 30mm cannon fire. Per the patch notes, the Havoc was taking more damage than intended from those cannons, and that is now fixed. If you were avoiding the Havoc or adjusting your loadout around it, that calculus just changed.
The throwables fix also carries tactical weight: grenades, smoke, and C4 can no longer be used from enclosed vehicle seats. The patch notes do not give a reason for the change.
WHAT'S NEXT
The exploit closures matter most for the next two weeks: abusers have already had cash and progression reset, and leniency is over. Bulkhead has not said whether Season 02 (October 15) resets progression, so the longer-term effect is the enforcement precedent.
Season 02 is confirmed for October 15, with Bulkhead promising new map conditions, equipment, balance reworks, and additional features. Full details land next week. Treat this patch as the floor-cleaning before the larger shift arrives. The meta itself -- weapons, loadouts, moment-to-moment viability -- is unchanged by 0.1.2's balance-neutral scope.
Player reaction to this patch is not yet available in our sources; community discussion was not captured in this cycle's intake. We will update as the lobby responds.
Correction (October 5, 2026): an earlier version of this article repeated a phrase, used a term from another game, overstated several items from the patch notes, and said Season 02 brings a wipe on October 15. Bulkhead has not confirmed a Season 02 wipe.
Update (October 13, 2026): Bulkhead has since confirmed the reset. In its Road to Season 02 devlog (Oct 9), it says the end of Season 1 brings the first full progression reset: everyone's cash and progression are reset, and leftover savings auto-exchange to Gold Bars based on their value at the end of the season.
